Project DescriptionThis narrative short film, Tomorrow in Guilin, Cloudy Then Sunny, follows a boy who quietly falls for a girl during his journey through Guilin. Told through his internal monologue, the story unfolds with slow, lingering long takes that mirror the serenity of Guilin’s landscapes. I served as both the key creator and lead actor, aiming to capture the delicate, restrained emotions of youth and the subtle resonance between inner feeling and natural scenery.

My Role Conceived the narrative idea of using internal monologue as the storytelling structure, contributed to the development of the film’s visual style, authored the voice-over script, and performed as the lead actor. The film explores the restrained emotions of youth through subtle performance and contemplative long takes set against natural landscapes.
